Calculus 2 fail rate1/8/2024 The mid range one failed about 20%, and the hard one failed 35%, so we will say on average 18% fail calc1 at my uni. The easy one only failed 9% of students with a D or F (since you need a C to move on to calc2, so anything less than a C I consider a fail). I checked and looked at 3 calc1 professor, one who is easy, one who is hard, and one who is mid range. During the lower level classes like calc1 which are designed to "weed out" students, I would say the pass rate is around 82%. I dont know if this is average across all universities in Sweden, but in the USA it is not. Linear Algebra will be huge too for god's sake don't skim it. Deflections, moments, curvature, all of the sudden you are using math tricks that you learned before but the answers actually mean something. I just finished a math course that taught me how each order of differential equations relates to Mechanics of Materials. I had no context and the rules were straight forward but not always obvious. Now you get to see what the numbers do in action. In future terms when you see it, it won't look like wizardry to you because you already covered Partial Fractions, Trig substitution or even Taylor Series. So yes what I'm saying is all the stuff that seems useless right now, all those floating numbers that don't seem to be attached to anything meaningful will come together slowly. It's an awesome specific study guide for Engineering Students. I won't get into that but it's well worth a look here. There are methods to review topics you study and it boils down to how often you "recharge" the knowledge. Meme posts made outside this time will be removed. Not reading them and then complaining will not earn you any sympathy. This is a place for engineering students of any discipline to discuss study methods, get homework help, get job search advice, and find a compassionate ear when you get a 40% on your midterm after studying all night.
